Look Who's In the News

On the Campaign Trail
National and international news outlets—including CNN and BBC—converged on Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network recently. The reason: visits by presumptive Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain and Chelsea Clinton, daughter of Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton. They addressed health care and other issues at town hall meetings. Their campaigns accepted invitations from the hospital that were extended to all candidates for the 2008 Pennsylvania presidential primary election. These visits are an educational service provided to the network's employees by the office of government relations and do not constitute an endorsement of any candidate by Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network or its employees. The hospital does not intervene in any political campaign and neither supports nor opposes any candidate for public office.
